please help
How can i convert 12 volt 3000mah battery to 5 volt or 6 volt to use it with MG996R servo ???

I could not find any details on how much current [amperage] it draws. Just...........Operating voltage 4.8-7.2V

You need to know the PEAK current first.

It APPEARS that the peak current [when stalled] can be up to 2A.

For 1A look at **broken link removed** or https://www.eleccircuit.com/the-step-down-12-volts-to-6-volts-dc-converter/

For 2A look at https://www.eleccircuit.com/power-supply-5v-2a-by-ic-78s05/
you can also use the the 78S06 for 6V, or place 2 IN4148 diodes in the 'Ground' to raise the voltage as they did in https://www.eleccircuit.com/the-step-down-12-volts-to-6-volts-dc-converter/
