Connecting SIM300 with Hyper Terminal

Hi, I m connecting SIM300 Module with Hyper terminal using MAX232 circuitry. But when i open the terminal, it shows random ASCII characters before pressing any key as well as after pressing any key. Can anyone please help me in this ?

A schematic would help. Also, check your baud rate.

Ok. What should be the baud rate for SIM300 DZ ?

give the command AT+IPr=? and you will get a set of possible baud rates for sim300..... after you set the baud rate on the modem, set the same baud rate on hyperterminal... thats it...
