What's the difference in connect an equalizing resistor in the emitter or in the base of a power transistor? I got a Pyramid 35A linear psu that hasn't emitter resistors otherwise it has 2R2 base resistors in the power output stage. Is it a way to reduce output dynamic impedance or just to reduce price with power resistors?
Most of the higher rating psu I have seen have equalizing resistor in the emitter side and with that resistor in the base could be to reduce the drive or more so to equalize the drive in each of the output transistor.
