I'm currently using an ADC with a built in 1.25 V reference and using a resistive divider (1k / 4k) to bring it down to 1 V as reference inputs to the chip (2 reference inputs). I am also using that 1V reference as an input to another chip.

The input resistance for each of the 2 ADC reference inputs are 9k.

The input resistance for the second chip is 200k.

Will this design work?

Hi

The answer is depend on the current source capability of the reference you use
see data sheet for this parameter

You need to drive 200K|| 9K = 8.6K for 1.25V the current is 146uA (minimum)
see the data sheet to learn whether the reference can drive this load

All the best

Bobi
