guys,
simple question... I need a USB to RS232 converter using FT232rl (this part is a specific issue...).

I found this **broken link removed** But for my case, I have to make one actually.

Thus I was planning the following:

USB -> FT232RL -> MAX233 -> DB9.

Now, a bit confused.. FT232 has a TXD. should I hook it up with max233's rx? (rx1 or 2) and max233's tx (say tx1 in case of rx1) to db9's which pin?? After db9, there will be my regular serial device (a radio programmer, that gets connected with PC).

So, FT232 (TXD) -> MAX233(RX1) -->db9(pin??)

also as i need hardware handshaking, I need to connect the CTS and RTS. same questions... FT232's CTS to max233's which pin as in and max233's which pin as out to db9's which pin?

Also please guide me for RTS also (though I hope I can solve that part too) [one's in is other's out]

a plain table will help me enough I hope...

Mishu~
