Generally a mic signal is a combination of many sine waves.... by filtering we are able to limit the range of frequencies we want to recieve..... So a mic signal is always oscillating... What I want to do is compare two mic signals but only their amplitudes and at particular set intervals of time..... say around 7ms........ Is their any design component such as a subtractor or comparator that would work for this procedure... Is their any way to just get the amplitude from a mic signal...................????
