I want to compare the metrics for wlan in 802.11(DCF) and 802.11e
( EDCF)
How can i do it on OPNET MODELER 11.5.
Can anyone help me please.....

first of all, why you using opnet 11??
the latest version (v.14) is available and FULL..
all models available in OPNET are keeps changing with every version. so i suggest you to use it.

do you have any background in how to use OPNET?
or you just facing some troubles in your scenarios's?!
 

Hi, thanx for the reply.
I am using opnet 11.5 because, it meets all the requirements of my machine.
I know opnet from a month, and i need help in doing my project.
I have installed it without any problem, now i need to build a wireless network in it, which must consists of some systems, server which is connected to ethernet.
Can you help me please

hi all, I have tried it and got it.
I've made a network, with 4voice stations, 2 video stations and 4data stations.
then simulated them in DCF mode and EDCF mode( just put HCF enabled and made some changes in Access categories like best effort, background, voice and video).
and checked the output in throughput, data drop, medium access delay and load.
I could find some differences between them. Check this image

Hope i got the correct output.
