Flash ADC

i need a comparator for flash ADC that its inputs aren't differential(Only we have Vin&Vref nor Vin+ & Vin- ,...).please help me because i really need it for my MSc. Thesis.

Re: Flash ADC

You can derive a differential flash-adc from a single-ended one:

1. Double all comparators and the resistor ladder
2. The voltage range of the ladder should cover the signal range
3. Connect the differential signal to the two inputs
4. Merge the output currents of the comps diffamp stage
5. Merge the comps which are oposite to the ladder center
6. There they have the same switching point (redundant)
7. Be aware that there is no common mode rejection
8. Finally you can mergethe resistor ladder because of equal taps
9. The offset spec derived area of the comps diffamp is equal to the single-ended
10. That is because you add two uncorrelated current wise
