Hello guys! I'm not sure if this is the right forum category to put this in, but anyway, here's my concern:
I'm planning to use a CMOS SPDT IC and I was just wondering if it really, truly acts as a relay? I mean, for example, based on the functional diagram below:

If I put 4 volts in S2 with input at logic zero, then is the 4 volts I will get from D actually physically connected to the 4 volt supply in S2? I mean, will the current flowing out from D be actually sourced from the S2 supply?... I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm such a newbie...
