Hi Folks.

Got the Christmas lights out to test and found a problem with one controller in that the output SCR's have blown.

I thought "oh, that's easy, I'll replace the SCR's after fixing the lamps" - unfortunately I cannot find a supplier for the SCR or an equivilent.

I was hoping somebody on here could help?

The part is an ST Microelectronics XL0840 which appears to be a 0.8A sensitive gate SCR.

Can somebody point me in the right direction (preferably with a part number!) for an equivilent please ?

regards
Dave.

Yes, BT169D(the same anode current=0.8A and min. gate current=200uA)
