centOS issues regarding executable run and gedit command.............................

Hi.

I have installed centOS 6 in my laptop.

Now am trying to install synopsys tools in my system. but when i open installer and when i click on run on terminal then it not showing run terminal and just closes down.

also gedit command is not open in my system.

help me what to do and how to install my tools?
