They are electrolytic capacitors. Could you plz explain why ripple current causes burning?? How much ripple causes burning say for a 1000uF, 50V capacitor?
Ripple current causes heating due to ohmic and dielectric losses in the capacitor. The ripple current that a capacitor can handle is very dependent on its construction and quality, not simply its rated capacitance and voltage.
