capacitor slection parameter comparision (ripple current, impedanse)??

which capacitor is good amoung cap A and Cap B??

CAP A:

Make: VISHAY BC
Value: 120uF/63V
ripple current: 610mA (100KHz,105 *C)
Impedance 100 KHz (20/10 *C): 0.180 /0.450 ohm
life: 5000 H @ 105 *C

/////////////////////////////////

CAP B:

Make: Panasonic
Value: 120uF/63V
ripple current: 1073mA (100KHz,105 *C)
Impedance 100 KHz (20 *C): 0.045 ohm
life: 8000 H @ 105 *C

1)which one is better?
2) ripple current???
3) impedance??

application: SMPS

Of the specs you listed Cap B is better. It has longer life, lower impedance, and a higher ripple current rating.

From this standpoint, capacitor B is better in every single spec. probably is more expensive too.

Hi;
As i know ripple current is the amount of current which your cap stand for a long time. Consider your cap is continuously charged and discharged. This current cycle effects its life time.
Impedance lower is better, consider that an ideal cap has zero internal resistance. As this parameters is decreases means cap is more qualified.

CAP A is original one and i want to replace that capacitor to other brand capacitor with same value and voltage rating please suggest me which one is better. i've used CAP C (illusion) but this fails after 10 days. does CAP B work???:?:
CAP A is not available in market, if any other CAP is there please let me know.

It should not fail so soon. What is the capacitor used for?

Are you sure you connected the capacitor with correct polarity (not backwards)? Connecting a capacitor the wrong way will cause it to fail.

it fail after 7 days it means polarity was correct. due to some other reason it fails. this caps is used for input coupling for
SMPS
I/P: 24 V
O/P:100V

suggest me best capacitor that work in my ciruit

Hi, I use in SMPS kow esr(105) capacitors. And I don`t have major problems in time.

which is the best capacitor among above mention 3 capacitor???? give the rank according to life (answer should be in CAPA>CAPB>CAPC format)

please help me

According to the pictures:
CAPB>CAPC>CAPA

Why do you want to replace the original capacitor? Did it fail?

If so, perhaps there is some other problem with the SMPS that caused the original capacitor to fail, and now causes the replacement to fail.

can i use 220uF/63V.
does it affect the performance of system??

which one is better idea to replace 120uF capacitor to 100uF or 220uF????

You can use safety 220uF.

You can use safety 220uF.

this is a input capacitor of SMPS so what happen if i replace 120uF capacitor to 220uF????????
