Capacitive lighting gang switch

Dear All,

I would like to DIY a lighting gang switch that is operated using 2 x AAA batteries. Therefore energy consumption of the circuit had to be as low as possible.

I wanted to send the capacitive touch to my wireless module that we wake up upon an interrupt event. Therefore the output must be a falling edge or rising edge triggered. I had test the wireless module in sleep mode and 2 x AAA batteries can last very long. Had been testing for more than 3 months now and still working fine with mechanical switch.

I wish to ask anyone know of a capacitive touch IC that can work with this setup and takes very low current to extend the battery life. Thanks a lot

As i am doing a development. Therefore DIP ICs will be a better option for me. Thanks a lot

I think Atmel have some touch sensor ICs in convenient hand-solderable SOT23-6 package.
It's not hard to solder SOT23-6 sized devices with a soldering iron (check google/watch some youtube videos).
