Can't ping but the site still opens--How?

hey everyone
i faced a quite confusing problem. the computer can't ping a site that it opens. it is in a LAN configuration . The firewall is turned off. Along with this i am also facing problem to connect this computer to a printre in the network. can someone helo me know what have caused this problem and how do i solve it?

well. the site for sure is blocking ping packets from recieving...most sites block ping packets for security reason.....do you configure the printer probably? you should install the software of the printer in that PC then go to add printer in control panal and so on.....it's very simple.
