RFID reader help

I have the following problem:

I'm developing an RFID system. The sendcoil is ready, I have RFID-chips from EMMARIN and attached them to my own coils and when the tags are in the field of my sendcoil, the chip becomes active and does AM-modulation on the coil of the tag. Normally this same signal must be visible on the current of the sendcoil as well. But I cannot see anything.

I was thinking of using an AM-demodulator and then an amplifier to extract the signal. But I'm not sure that this is the best solution.

My sendcoil consists of a class C amplifier with parallel resonance LC.
I use an IGBT for transistor.

The tag works perfect, I just want to see the signal in my sendcoil so that I know what to amplify, run it to a comparator and then into a µC so I can decode the signal.

Best regards

P.
