If u fix off time with fixed frequency, then PWm is not required.

It will be the wave with on and off times with frequency given....

U can generate that wave, It is not PWM...

Re: PWM

Fixed off time is useful in some cases, but you can have fixed frequency and variable pulse width or fixed pulse width and variable frequency. Fixed off time and fixed frequency is a static wave, you can generate it, but it's not PWM signal, because of fixed off time (you can't modulate it)...

Re: PWM

in PWM the Frequency is fixed but the duty cycle is change
in PRM the frequency is vary but the off time is fixed
