Can the same jtag be used for MIPS and ARM?

I have seen schematics of JTAG for arm. But i want jtag for MIPS architecture. Can the same jtag be used for MIPS and ARM. Or there will be differences.

The JTAG wiggler CIRCUIT COMPATIBLE WITH THE mACRAIGOR jtag can be used for ARM as well as MIPS. I have personally used it.
