Can SPI master be connected to 2 SPI slaves?

Hi, All,
I am now using Max1220 (12bit ADC/DAC SPI interfaced in one chip).
Due to stock issue, I need to source a different IC that is stocked in common stocky, like Farnell, RS or digikey.
Come the worst, I may need to use seperate ADC and DAC ICs using SPI interface. Can I do this? Can SPI master connect to 2 SPI slaves?

One master can connect to many slaves but it has to use additional pins - CS (Chip Select) - to select a slave one at a time .. see picture below ..
