cadence tools upgrade

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if spectre can be upgrade separately from cadence or, in order to upgrade spectre you have to upgrade cadence?
Thank you

Re: cadence tools upgrade

I've never attempted such a thing. Where can you acquire a standalone copy of spectre?

Re: cadence tools upgrade

I don't know if it's possible. That's why I'm asking.

Another question related to this topic: does anyone know what version of Spectre is able to comply with BSIM 4.5.0 models?

cadence tools upgrade

You can update spectre separately.
Cadence release spectre in MMSIM package which includes simulators for analog, RF and mixed signal circuit.

Re: cadence tools upgrade

From IC 61, no spectre in IC platform. And Spectre is seperated as MMSIM package. You can only update MMSIM package and not update IC x platform. It's easy to update but you have to pay more money now.
