Can someone tell me which is the correct land pattern

I'm getting confused on which is the correct landpattern for this device

Pattern 1 or Pattern 2.

The exposed pad is the same for both the devices,right? I'm not sure which one to select.

Both seem to be fine right?

Can someone help me on which parameters I should check for deciding the right landpattern and why?

Please help, thanks.
