Can PSpice be used instead of HSpice?

Hello all,

I found the following transistor models on the web: **broken link removed**

Is it possible to use PSpice to simulate circuits with these models I believe they are BSIM and level49.

If it is possible, then how do I go about using them in PSpice?

It depends what you plan to do. For studies and learning - yes.
For real life design - yes i know people who do it but i would not.

As far as how to use it - I believe there is a documentation

I like Hspice.
I think Hspice is better than Pspice.

Most foundrys certify the mos models for hspice, so is better to use hspice for real work.

yes, that's the very important point, unless u r going to design hobby kit that are not require high accuracy and accurate model.

The Hspice is better than Pspice for IC design. I think that you must choice the software by your demand. Even though, choice a best tool for your simulation.

It's said hspice level 49 model. So you have to use hspice.
but it might be compatable with spice 3f5 level 8 model. You can have a try with spice 3f5. Change it to level=8.
PSPICE only supports up to level=6.
