FM headphones

Can I use FM to achieve the CD audio quality transmission?
I have heard that FM bandwidth is small so it is not possible?
If it is so then how do BLUE TOOTH headphones work?
Do they have lower transmission quality?

Re: FM headphones

Hi nvd,

it is possible, at least Mono. Chipcon has created a application note for this, including programm and pcb.

Cheers...

Re: FM headphones

what do you choose
analog or digital?

Re: FM headphones

You have to be a little more specific. What carrier frequency are you planning to use, and what licensing rules and location are you talking about?

If you are going to use the unlicensed commercial FM broadcast band, then yes, CD Stereo quality is outside of your grasp.

Re: FM headphones

Frequency selection is not important. I want best quality transmission for my personal use. I want to use these headphones at a distance of 5-10m.
I also want it to be stereo.

Can anyone tell me which design is better? Analog or Digital?

Any suggestions?
