Can I use evanescent waveguide to realize high pass filter?

I think the WG act as a good Hi Pass filter on the main mode.
To exite the evanescent modes you should fill the WG tube with many metal probes, most of them geometrically placed into a lossy manner for the main mode.
So, i think you may realize an evanescent band-pass filter but not an high pass filter.
