Guys,
Can I use 24MHz Logic analyzer for checking the signal on RMII ethernet ?
Or I need faster logic anayzer ?
Ethernet clock speed is 50MHz...

Thanks

Hello!

If you don't specify what kind of ethernet, I guess nobody will reply.
However I would guess you need something faster, supposing you are using a recent
ethernet.

Dora.

I'm using 100Mbit/s ethernet with RMII interface.....Do I need 100MHz Logic Analyzer or on some signals, I can see with 24MHz analyzer ? thanks

The question is somehow oversimplifying the problem. Which parameters of the RMII signal do you want to see? Watch the logical data stream or check the timing? 50 MHz clock would be needed at least, but is only suffcient if the logic analyzer can synchronize to REFCLK.

I also wonder what you want to see from the RMII data? Reviewing your previous thread about the ST32 ethernet interface, you seem to have problems to acquire and decode the available information, e.g. the information about PHY state available through managment interface. Collecting more information doesn't help as long as you don't know what it means.
