Hi,
I want to send CAN bus messages through 110V AC Power line. Can anybody help me in deciding whether it is possible or not ?. If possible can you suggest suitable Power Line modem to be used. I am unable to get the information from google.
Regards,
Vamanan Kutty

Take a look at the communication method used in X10 home automation. It sounds similar to what you wish to do.

Messages are sent during the time where the mains AC waveform crosses 0V.

From the physical layer standpoint, one of the main attributes of CANbus, namely its differential signaling, would be lost.

Additionally, X10 and other powerline related communication protocols are very low speed.
