Working on a project used for my hikes. I was fascinated by how the GoPro action camera's work but wanted to make my own. Trying to get ideas on creating it on an embedded platform that has a good camera module, and some sort of wifi capibilities. Where would be a good place to start? I've looked at some embedded camera modules, and they're really bulky. Essentially, for basics I'd need some processor fast enough to take data from camera, send it over wifi somewhere. I can process that stuff when I get home. And an HD camera module. Sparkfun has some decent stuff, as far as I've looked.
