Calculating the capacity of channel????

Can anyone plz tell me about the way to calculate the capacity of channel in general and Specifically the capacity of amplify and forward relay method.

use Shannon-Hartly Theorem to find the channel capcity of a channel

thanks but i am asking abt how to calculate capacity thorugh information theory tech. (i.e. using mutal information and entropy)
