Hello,

Can any one help me houw can I Find the total power consumption of an electronic circuit.
I used 4 D-flipflop, 4 Gates XNOR, and 1 clock.
I have the Datasheet of each component and I dont know how to calculate it?
Also, I would like to know if I turned off my cicuit, the bits information in the shift register will be memorized or not.

Thanks

no it will not memorize.
Why not just measure the current flowing to it via a sense resistor and calculate the power like that?...rc filter the signal reading if its not "flat"

Many thanks, but I dont have the components, just I simulate it in circuit maker and I need to know the total power consumption of the circuit.

look in datasheet where it says the operating current levels

The Family of logic parts (Cmos, TTL or other) determines its power consumption when it is sitting doing nothing or is switching slowly.
I doubt that a datasheet or a simulation program will tell you the power consumption when it is switching at a high frequency.
