calculate max freq for the given circuit

Hi All,


Please tell me what will be the max freq for this circuit to work?

here clock buffer delay is 8 ns.

it seems that this circuit can't work, because the hold time requirment is not met

hi jiten,
You have to fix the hold first to make the circuit work , i,e add a delay of 3 ns to the combo, then it can work at a ck period of 3ns.
 

Dear Raju,

with addition of just 3 ns in combo delay will not make this circuit to work because in this case hold will violate with 2ns.

here we have to increase the combo delay by 5 ns so both setup and hold will meet their requirement without violation.
