Hi,

I have a problem with the batch process report created by Cadstar when batch processing some gerbers.

The problem is that the number of holes reported in the drill report section is incorrect and does not match the number that are in the excellon drill file. I have never seen this before, at least not to my knowledge.

For example in this particular design there are 50 holes of size 20 thou (assigned to drill letter "B"), I have confirmed this my separatley checking the excellon drill file. But the drill report table says that there are 62 holes of this size, i.e. the "count" field is incorrect.

The same problem exists for one of the other drills, the drill report table says there are 12 holes of size 161 thou when actually there are only 9 - again confirmed by a manual check.

All of the other drill counts look OK.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

thanks in advance,
Waljit

Hi

did it may caused by plated Vs unplated hole ?

What version of Cadstar?
I have never seen this in recent years with Cadstar, only in the dim and distant past when you could place holes on top of each other.
Can you upload the Cadstar design file, it would be easier to formulate an answer.

And the batch file, colour, selection files etc - with all the files required to run the batch process then it can be duplicated and tested.

Although start with the design.

I have a feeling that its going to be something simple but cannot tell without some hard data to investigate. :)

It occurs to me I never came back with a solution to this - sorry!

It was a problem with the selections file in the end. Fixed now.

Thanks all!
