mkdefcfg failed

I installed RHEL 3 into xw6200 (SATA Harddisk) and I could not launch the projmgr (SPB15.2), but I have no problem using nclaunch (IUS5.5) its works fine.

I also installed RHEL 3 update 5 into xw8200 (SCSI Harddisk) and face no problem launching projmgr but encounter
1) when issue projmgr command, this error msg appears
'error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared file: no such file or directory'
2) when creating new project, this pop-up error msg appears
'mkdefcfg failed on creating expand.cfg file for cfg_package'
3) when i click on the setup, design entry this error msg appears
'error while loading shared libraries: libdl.so.2: cannot open shared file: no such file or directory'

Does anyone knows how to fix this problems?
Does the type of harddisk (IDE, SCSI or SATA) affects the EDA tools?

Thanks a million in advance

regards
jennifer

cadence mkdefcfg failed

hi
i think it is not the problem of SATA HDD. if RHEL is installed correctly without problems then softwares should run fine

mkdefcfg failed on creating expand.cfg file

Jenkoh,

check if this env.var can help you:
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1
Type it in the terminal window before starting the program, or put it in your .bashrc file.

Bye,

mkdefcfg failed on creating expand.cfg

check this libdl.so.2 and libc.so.6 if in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

I had checked that two files in your /lib,if your installation is correct.
