IT was the startup script I was using that was causing me grief.
<post with X TOOLBOX errors>

I open icfb & normally now (after changing a few things and recompiling everything) and it opens. My technology libs show up to, so that's great. Here's the problem - I try to make a new cellview for a schematic and it says that there is no tool registered for that and to check /share/tool , /share/data to make sure the files are registered. They are there, so obviously Cadence just isn't finding them. Any tips on how to get Virtuoso going? I wanted to start on a schematic on this computer ASAP.

Thanks,

Re: Cadence IC5033 "Tool not registered" - HELP PL

Sorry for the post now.

Thanks for the replies! I think I was just a tad burnt out when I was trying this. I have the environment properly set up now.

Thank you for the posts, however. I had a typo in my .bashrc file and it's fixed ^_^
