cdsdoc viewer cannot start

I'm running Allegro SPB 15.5 on Win2k. How can I make cdsdoc (the documentation viewer) use my Firefox web browser instead of Internet Explorer? I tried setting cdsdoc's preferences to Netscape 4.x and 7.x, but it continues using IE. I don't like IE, and I don't have or want Netscape. I set my Windows default browser to Firefox, but that seems to have no effect in this situation.

Is there some way to create a phantom Netscape installation that simply links to Firefox?

Warnning: before editing he registry . Take a backup of ur registry
before taking backup or editing the registry try out this
start ur default browser what u had setted in cdsdoc first and start cdsdoc. and check out . if it also not working try the following

before editing the registry close ur cdsdoc

HKEY_CURRENT_USER-> software-> Cadence -> cdsdoc
delete the Browser key.
start cdsdoc and it will ask for enter ur default browser again

I can't do you first suggestion because cdsdoc offers only three choices: Netscape 4.x, Netscape 7.x, and IE. My installed browsers are Firefox and IE.

I deleted the registry key and restarted cdsdoc, but it did not ask me for my default browser. It simply recreated the "Browser" key and set it to "msie".

hi
try this out also
HKEY_CURRENT_USER-> software-> Cadence Design Systems -> psdcomman -> win -> htmlbrowser
change the Browser Path

No such registry keys in my installation. No "psdcomman" or "browser" or "html" in the Cadence sections, except for the one key we tried earlier.
