Hi all,

I'm currently building myself an HTPC. I have built a few variations of the Lirc/WinLirc serial IR receiver. I have my Sony remote control running perfectly but for the use of email and messengers through the TV I want to use a cable digital IR keyboard (the keyboard is identicle to the sky digital keybord).

When trying to learn the IR signals with a standard WinLirc interface an error is returned saying this remote cannot be automatically learned. I'm assuming this keyboard uses a more complex IR protocol. Trying to find information on these keyboards is a nightmare. Each company seems to throw there own name on it and there are no markings (either inside or outside the casing) to indicate who actually makes these keyboards.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for getting this keyboard to work?

Any information on the keyboard itself or any ideas on another IR interface would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
