Building of dc-dc converters using IC

I'm trying to build dc-dc converters (boost and buck) I would like some help in choosing which IC/chip to use to build these converters and also would give efficiency of about 90% or better. In addition, I wanna use less parts as much as possible and I also wanna use mosfets to improve the switching . Please let me know its urgent lol
 

What is the range of op and the input you are using and planning to get post the values then we can see about the components needed to solve the matter

The range is from 0-16v input/output and 16-0v input/output for both converters (boost & buck converter)
 

If you want to use dedicated controller, you can find a lot of them from different manufacturers like Linear and Maxim. Use the parametric search available on the manufacturers' websites.
You can also use a general purpose PWM chip or microcontroller.
Depending on your power requirements, you may be able to find chips with MOSFETs built in.
