Hello all,

Basically, I want to use my computer as an electronics station (Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Function generator...). Could anyone tell me how to build a PCI card, maybe even get me started on such a data aqcuisition card?

I've searched the web and I found lots of sites on doing things like these using ISA cards, but they aren't fast enough for me. On the other hand, there was almost nothing detailed enough on how to do this with a PCI card, nor on how to start building any kind of PCI card.

If anyone managed to find something close to this on the web, or could give me a background on how to build a PCI card, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks all

hi all;

i think when you want to make pci card you have 2 choices

1- to interface to bus using CPLD or FPGA

2- using special microcontroller, (PLX,AMCC)

i think there is no way eles

you can find on web may company that bay prototype card for

pci and have also PLX and AMCC microcontroller

about doucment you will fine on edaboard the pci standred
and many books about pci just as(pci system...)
that is all now
if you need more information send me
bye

Thanks,

Do you happen to have a basic PCI card that I could learn from, I simply want a comprehensive example, because I'm not sure where to begin.

Thanks again
