I am using 28nm library for my design.I want to know the notation used for finding difference between normal buffers clk buffers.

Here are some of the notations used like :

1)IBUFFXXX_RVT ??

2)NBUFFXXX_RVT -----> I AM ASSUMING NORMAL BUFFERS ?? AM I CORRECT??

3)AOBUFFXX_RVT --AND OR BUFFERS ?? FOR WHAT THESE ARE USED ??

4)DELLNXXX_RVT ??
then what are clock buffers ??

Please clarify.

Hi,
As i have seen usually the clock based buffers or any cells there will be a C prefix like Cbuff or Cinv.If they have not followed any such naming convention then better open their layouts some EM(electron migration) guidelines will be followed.And usually clock cells will be having same rise time and fall time by tat also u can identify. .

The problem they have different type of prefix.so thats why i am asking !! I am using saedxxx named library.so if someone could give appropriate answer.layout file means with which extension it will be???
