Searching has been of no use for this question. Note that I have never actually made a circuit before, soldered and messed around with electronics yes, but I lack confidence on this one.
I'm looking to build a switching voltage regulator that can function in buck and boost modes. Of course the less elements the better.
The needs are described on the **broken link removed** we have (in french). They are a little bit optimistic from what I understand, so the output current could be only about 1A actually. Basically we need a buck-boost that outputs 5V at about 1A (with 8 rechargeable batteries), less amps wits less batteries, minimum input of 2.4V with 2 rechargeable batteries. Efficiency is kind of important, but it will probably be appalling at low input voltage-high output current, so it's the user's problem in this particular case.
The Altium files on the bottom are empty. Can anybody show me a good circuit design starting point?
