Broken winding of stepper motor

Hey,

Urgent help needed

We are using stepper motor 10V in a coating unit of a printing machine. The stator winding broke more than 3 times in a month and we are clueless why this is happening again and again. Can someone tell me the reason?

You mean broken, not burned?
- bad motor quality
- excessive vibrations
 

Yea, winding isnt burned but broken from joint.

We were also thinking of 'vibration'.
Can I say that it is because of resonance of stepper motor?

The stator won't move or "vibrate" in a resonable mechanical setup.
 

what can cause vibration in the motor? There is no extra system that is vibrating in our setup.
 

If the motor is solidly mounted, there isn't much that you do about. Using speed ramps will probably reduce motor vibration.
 

Have you inspected the broken item? It sounds like a mechanical problem or a badly made batch - is the stator impregnated? is it the same motor after being "repaired". Are the leadout wires supported properly? Is it the same wire?
