I am an undergraduate student. I have worked a little with the PIC16F microcontroller. Please suggest me some books for learning Embedded Systems Design both from a theoretical and developer's point of view.

After searching for a while, I came across "Embedded Systems Architecture "by Tammy Noergaard and "Embedded Systems (World Class Designs)" by Jack Ganssle.

I need a book which starts Embedded Systems from scratch and goes on to discussing today's technologies and methods.

1.The 8051 Microcontroller and Embedded Systems - Mazidi.pdf

2.The PIC Microcontroller and Embedded Systems - Mazidi.pdf

I am sorry but these are not embedded systems books;they are actually for learning Microcontrollers. I asked Embedded Systems books. Experienced people please reply.
