first start searching for use full materials in net like google, u will find lot of material. there is also lot of discusions on previous issues in this board.

Cad star express is free pcb lay out tool available so u can use it

I think you can downloading a demo powerPCB first(Now it is named Pad2005), and learn the basic PCB design, I think satyakumar's recommendation of "google" is great, it is a good teacher!
