I have made universal adapter for programmer. This device is small and suite for all AVR. All you got to do is connect right pins. To connect with programmer we use standard 10 pin ribbon. USB slot is responsible for powered the processor ( if programmer doesn't have VCC slot), in case e.g. STK200/300 programmer on LPT, USB powering also the programmer. LED diode can signal if processor have power.
At https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic1492318.html you can find download files with top and bottom layers that are destined for thermo transfer.
Resistor for example 2k2, LED diode, condensers not necessary, quartz 4MHz, goldpins, precocious seats.
Connection to USBAsp:
we connect both 10 - pins slots by ribbon, at programmer power jumper screw up, what is signalized by diode at adapter, that there is power. Next we check datasheet - there are miso, mosi, rst, sck, gnd, vcc and we connecting as on the picture. Everything is describe at the board.
Connection to STK200/300:
Analogical to previous, only one difference is that to adapter we plug USB that will powered both, processor and programmer.
ATTENTION - if the diode flash on adapter, you can't plug USB to adapter. You can destroy USB ports.
