Hi everyone,

I want to use a Bluetooth 4.0 transceiver from Laird (BT800) which is normally made to create a USB dongle. But because space restrictions for my project I opted for this transceiver even if I don't want to use it for what it's made.
I am using an Arduino pro mini 3.3V 8MHz and I would like to connect the BT800 to it. The problem is it's not UART and I would need to create an adapter like this for example: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12582. I will probably need to create a PCB layout and put the BT800 on it like the module I showed you.
The problem is I don't know how to start and what to do. I have the complete guide of the BT800 with the specs, the pin definition and there is also a section talking about the BT800 implementation, but it's for a USB dongle. I would like to create something small.
Can someone would guide me and help me?

Thanks a lot!

John
