Why we do Bit to Signal Mapping? i want to Modelate (BPSK, QPSK Both) a random bit stream in Matlab. Do i need to do Bit to symbol mapping before modulating?
 

bit to symbol mapping increases the sprectral efficiency
 

I want to modulate a random signal, plot the modulated signal, then unmodulate it and plot the un-modulated signal.
can anyone show me how to do this in matlab?
