Hi guys! Can anyone name a bidirectional power meter that outputs (eihter analogue or digital) signal accordig to the energy flow direction!

SWR meter can measure forward power and reflected power. They have opposite directions.

You had perfectly avoided the confusion when you added the question to your previous thread https://www.edaboard.com/threads/310605/

I'm not aware of an energy meter chip with a digital power direction output. They have either serial interfaces (SPI, I2C) that can send all informations to a microprocessor, or drive a stepper motor for a mechanical energy counter.

Energy by default flows from source to sink. Only at RF we consider reflected power and measure it. It is not the case at DC nor mains AC. Maybe rikotech8 is asking about measuring energy flow in power grid where exists more than one energy source? Who knows?

If your talking about AC line frequency then something like the MCP3905 has a negative power detection logic output pin. I'd assume many other energy measurement ICs come with similar functionality.

If you have a solar panel connected to the grid then you want to know the net flow of power into and out of your house. That may be what the op is referring to.

Yes, it's finally explained in the above linked previous thread. But the OP loves to talk in riddles.

May be there are others. Microchip however has no similar 3-phase metering chip.

Thank you guis! The problem is solved! I have Schneider Power Meter that switches relay output in case of reverse power event. It is all I need. Not to read data, but a simple signal to trigger the logic of my controller.
