Dear all,
We want to design an microstrip antenna array at 150GHz. The losses in the distribution network should be very low, so we will use superconductors to fabricate the summing network.
However for this high frequency, superconductors exhibit frequency dependent surface impedance and this behavior have to be simulated. And since we have a dense network, the microstrips are close to each others, and coupling between them is crucial, their thickness should also be taken into account while simulating.
We have a matlab code to calculate this impedance as a function of frequency.
For 3D simulation we are going to use HFSS, however, we need to do 2.5D MOM based simulation first for initial design and optimization since they are fast.
So my question is, what is the best planar antenna EM simulator "e.g Sonnet, IE3D, HFSS Designer, ADS momentum, FEKO....." that can:
-take this matlab calculated impedance and account for it accurately.
-simulate the coupling between the thick microstrips accurately.
-simulate arrays
Thanks
