Basic question about choosing the right RTO

Hi,

I have a very basic question:
Assuming that I need to choose a RTO for a small device that for example only controls temperature and the only external needs are Wi-Fi, USB and a small touch screen....
Does it make sense to choose Android or Windows phone ?

You can bidirectional control temperature and other processes over android phone, of course.
