what changes do i need to make to my current version of modelsim (5.5 b) so that i can simulate AVHDL and AVerilog..do i need a totaly different simulator or is there any upgrade that can solve my problem...
from where do i get the analog libraries???

Hi rogger123:

I think A-HDL is from altera, and as I know modelsim only support

verilog and vhdl.

is there anyway i can use modelsim to do mixed mode simulation???
my current version is modelsim 5.5b

Hi rogger123:

Do you mean mixed-signal or mix-language simlate?

If you mean mixed-signal, modelsim can't do. I

f you mean mixed-laguage(verilog+vhdl), modelsim do support. But it's

depend your license, you need mixed-laguage feature.

i mean mixed signal analog and digital
i guess modelsim does mixed signal simulation

Hi rogger123:

Im sure the modelsim can't do mixed-signal simulation. Iy you wanna

do this you can use the AdMS from mentor, which use modelsim to

simulate the digital part. Also you can use AMS toolset from Cadence and

Synopsys.
