12V automotive relay for door lock solenoid

I would imagine a door lock solenoid would require a pretty hefty relay contact with arc suppression for reliability.

Can anyone suggest a suitable relay and snubber circuit?

Are there better FET based alternatives that would be more reliable than a relay contact?

a couple of standard 30 amp automotive spdt relay is all you need, add a fuse of about 5 - 7 amps per door lock, if you google "reverse polarity" or "five wire" door locks you should be able to find relay wiring diagrams.
